WÜRDEN knows what ambient music is all about, and demonstrates his knowledge skillfully. the quietly magical soundscenes of ORTLOS are undeniable, yet mirage-like, encompassing your listening space with dreamy synth /texture immersions, and spare use of percussion and samples. great!
AMBIENTRANCE

the cd is very cool, and hard to describe. It starts off sounding rather thematic and cinematic with several short themes packed into 1 song, then it moves into some familiar sounding IDM territory, a little BOARDS OF CANADA at times, a little BOLA at times maybe, a little BIOSPHERE at times as well without sounding like carbon copies of any of them. (look for tracks OBJEKT CLASSID and LAUF DER SONNE). also some nice stark chill tracks thrown in as well. overall a very good collection.
